Age or something

I must be getting old. Older, anyway.

Lately I’m finding that I’m not able to do anything remotely useful on Saturdays because I spend the whole day in a kind of half-asleep daze. This really sucks because it leaves me with just Sunday to get anything done before the weekend is over and I’m focused on work again.

What sucks most is that there are things I need to be doing at home that aren’t happening because of this.

Okay, I’ll be 50 later this year and I can’t expect to be able to do as much as I could at 20, but still.

For the first time in my life I’m getting regular exercise, but it doesn’t seem to be doing any bloody good. I keep telling myself this is just a normal transition and I haven’t adjusted yet, but apparently I’m not listening. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so bloody typical of how my life seems to want to work.

Oh, well. I’ll sort it out somehow. I generally do.

It still sucks and I reserve the right to whine about it occasionally. I’ll try not to do that too often, though, because I know how annoying it is.

  1. I’m 55 and if I overdo on one day, then the next day I have to recover. What the advocates of exercise don’t realize is that as you get older, then it takes longer to recover from exercise. 🙂 So if you are going to do it, then do something fun because (I know from my experience) there is always a price tag attached.
